Connect Notiondesk Workspace MCP to Claude to review workspace information and perform supported Notiondesk actions directly from your Claude conversations.
The connection uses OAuth and follows the permissions of the Notiondesk teammate who authorizes it.
Before you start
Make sure:
- Workspace MCP is enabled for at least one Notiondesk help center
- You can sign in to the Notiondesk workspace you want to connect
- Your Claude account allows custom connectors
If Workspace MCP is not enabled yet, see Enable Workspace MCP in Notiondesk.
Connect Notiondesk from the dashboard
The easiest way to start is from Notiondesk:
- Open your Notiondesk dashboard
- Select a help center where Workspace MCP is enabled
- Go to Settings → General
- Find the Workspace MCP section
- Open Install in your client
- Select Claude
- Click Add to Claude
Claude opens the connector setup.
Connect an individual Claude account
You can also add Notiondesk manually from Claude.
- Open Customize → Connectors in Claude
- Click the + button
- Select Add custom connector
- Enter the Notiondesk connection details:
Name: Notiondesk MCP
URL: https://mcp.notiondesk.so/mcp- Add the connector.
- Complete the Notiondesk OAuth authorization when prompted.
You do not need to provide your Notiondesk credentials directly to Claude. Authentication is completed through the Notiondesk OAuth flow.
Connect Claude Team or Enterprise
For Claude Team and Enterprise organizations, an Owner or Primary Owner must first add the custom connector to the organization.
The organization owner should:
- Open Organization settings → Connectors.
- Click Add.
- Select Custom → Web.
- Enter:
https://mcp.notiondesk.so/mcp
- Add the connector.
Once Notiondesk MCP is available to the organization, each teammate can connect their own Notiondesk account.
To connect:
- Open Customize → Connectors.
- Find Notiondesk MCP.
- Click Connect.
- Complete the Notiondesk OAuth authorization.
Each teammate's connection follows their own Notiondesk permissions.
Adding Notiondesk MCP to a Claude organization does not automatically give every teammate access to the same Notiondesk data.
Enable Notiondesk MCP in a conversation
After connecting Notiondesk, enable it in the Claude conversation where you want to use it.
- Start a new Claude conversation
- Click the + button beside the message field
- Open Connectors
- Enable Notiondesk MCP
You can enable or disable the connector for individual conversations.
Verify the connection
Start with a read-only request:
List the Notiondesk help centers I can access.Claude should return the help centers where:
- Workspace MCP is enabled.
- Your Notiondesk account has access.
Then try a more specific request:
Show the sync status for my main help center. You can also test:
Show me the latest negative article feedback.Review the recent AI Chatbot conversations.Starting with read-only requests makes it easier to confirm that Claude is connected to the correct workspace before performing actions.
Perform actions from Claude
If your Notiondesk role allows it, Claude can perform supported Workspace MCP actions.
For example:
Trigger a sync for my main help center.Or:
Check the French translation status and show me which articles still need translation.Available actions depend on your Notiondesk role and the help centers you can access.
Connect multiple help centers
One Claude connector can access multiple Notiondesk help centers.
A help center is available when:
- Workspace MCP is enabled for that help center
- Your Notiondesk account has permission to access it
You do not need to create a separate Claude connector for each help center.
When working with several help centers, specify which one Claude should use in your prompt.
For example:
Review article feedback for the Acme Developer help center from the last 30 days.Troubleshooting
Notiondesk MCP does not appear in Claude
Open Customize → Connectors and confirm that Notiondesk MCP has been added and connected.
For Team or Enterprise accounts, an Owner or Primary Owner must make the connector available to the organization before members can connect it.
A help center is missing
Check that:
- Workspace MCP is enabled for that help center
- Your Notiondesk account has access to it
Claude cannot access a help center that is unavailable to the Notiondesk account used during authorization.
Some actions are missing
Workspace MCP follows your Notiondesk role.
A Viewer and an Admin connecting the same Claude account can therefore have different Notiondesk tools available.
See Workspace MCP roles, permissions, and security for details.
Disconnect Notiondesk from Claude
To disconnect your Notiondesk account from Claude:
- Open Customize → Connectors
- Find Notiondesk MCP
- Open its connection settings
- Disconnect the connector
Disconnecting Claude does not disable Workspace MCP for the help center or affect other teammates' connections.
