Connect Notiondesk Workspace MCP to ChatGPT

Connect Notiondesk Workspace MCP to ChatGPT to review workspace information and perform supported Notiondesk actions directly from a ChatGPT conversation.

The connection uses OAuth, so ChatGPT only receives the Notiondesk permissions available to the teammate who authorizes it.

Before you start

Before connecting ChatGPT, make sure:

• Workspace MCP is enabled for at least one Notiondesk help center

• Your Notiondesk workspace has access to Workspace MCP

• You can sign in to the Notiondesk workspace you want to connect

• Your ChatGPT account or workspace allows custom MCP connections

If Workspace MCP is not enabled yet, see Enable Workspace MCP in Notiondesk.

Connect Notiondesk from the dashboard

The easiest setup starts from Notiondesk.

1. Open your Notiondesk dashboard

2. Select a help center where Workspace MCP is enabled

3. Go to Settings → General

4. Find the Workspace MCP section

5. Open Install in your client

6. Select ChatGPT

7. Click Add to ChatGPT

ChatGPT opens the connector creation flow.

Configure the connection in ChatGPT

If ChatGPT asks you to enable Developer mode, enable it before continuing.

Create the connection with these details:

Name: Notiondesk MCP
Server URL: https://mcp.notiondesk.so/mcp
Authentication: OAuth

Then:

1. Confirm that you want to continue

2. Create the connection

3. Complete the Notiondesk OAuth authorization in your browser

During authorization, confirm that the correct Notiondesk workspace is selected and review the requested permissions before approving access.

Add the connection manually

If you do not start from Notiondesk, you can configure the connection manually in ChatGPT.

Use:

https://mcp.notiondesk.so/mcp

Use Notiondesk MCP as the connection name and select OAuth as the authentication method.

Use Notiondesk MCP in a ChatGPT conversation

After the connection is created and authorized:

1. Start a new ChatGPT conversation.

2. Open the available tools or apps.

3. Select Notiondesk MCP.

4. Ask ChatGPT to access your Notiondesk workspace.

Start with a read-only request such as:

List the Notiondesk help centers I can access.

ChatGPT should return the help centers where:

• Workspace MCP is enabled.

• Your Notiondesk account already has access.

Verify the connection

After confirming that the correct help centers appear, test a specific request:

Show the sync status for my main help center.

You can also try:

Show me the latest negative article feedback.

Or:

Review the recent AI Chatbot conversations.

Start with read-only requests before asking ChatGPT to change workspace data.

Perform actions from ChatGPT

If your Notiondesk role allows it, ChatGPT can perform supported Workspace MCP actions.

For example:

Trigger a sync for my main help center.

Available actions depend on:

• Your Notiondesk role

• The help centers you can access

• Whether Workspace MCP is enabled for those help centers

• Restrictions configured in ChatGPT

ChatGPT may ask for confirmation before performing actions that change workspace data.

Permissions

Workspace MCP follows your existing Notiondesk permissions.

For example:

• Viewers can access supported read-only information

• Editors can perform supported content-management actions

• Admins and workspace owners can access additional administrative actions

Connecting ChatGPT does not grant your Notiondesk account additional permissions.

Connect multiple help centers

You do not need a separate ChatGPT connection for every help center.

Workspace MCP can expose multiple help centers through the same connection when:

1. Workspace MCP is enabled for each help center

2. Your Notiondesk account has permission to access them

You can then tell ChatGPT which help center you want to work with.
